Delphine is the epitome of after-dark glamour and cool-girl insouciance.

She is as devastating barefoot as she is in a kitten heel mule. She’s as likely to be found on a fire-escape in Bushwick, cigarette in hand, as she is sipping a martini in Bemelmans at the Carlyle. She is a simmering contradiction, whispering of an air of old-world elegance whilst perennially indulging every naughty whim – the ongoing impetus to indulge, to seek joy, to stay out dancing… just a little bit later.

The alter-ego of designer Tanya Taylor, Delphine’s genesis came to fruition at the start of Tanya’s career in fashion, on her Parsons application. A fictitious muse who has forever been a fixture in her orbit. Fast forward to 2024, at a time when New York City pulses with a new wave of nightlife and an embracing of glamour, Tanya felt the creative compulsion to dress Delphine.

The debut collection takes cues from the current revival of vintage on the red-carpet, lending a downtown edge to peplums, trains, and voluminous sleeves. The palette of jewel tones, mustard, and pistachio render Delphine as desperately desirable as Tanya always envisaged her.
